My husband and I had our wedding reception at Hooked. A year later we came back to celebrate our anniversary and start a tradition. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu, the drinks are amazing and the atmosphere and service are top notch. If we didn't live 4 hours away we'd be here all.the.time. 👍🏻
Amazing! We were looking for a spot for good food before we head back to NY. As i always do i looked at my handy dandy Yelp app! This place popped up and seen great reviews. Their reviews are well deserved, food was fresh and very good. I got the fish tacos which was good, and my friends got the boom shrimp and calamari which was also good. We all shared the crab dip, which had to be the best i tasted while i was down there (i tried it at 3 different places). I recommend this place for sure!
All the meals ordered were fresh and tasty. My favorite was the dirty corn. Nice atmosphere, and service was warm and efficient. This place gets quite busy around dinner time so expect a wait; the wait is well worth it!
WOW ! We googled where to get Lobster Bisque in Ocean City and Hooked came up. We arrived and seen Jalapeno Crab Bisque on the menu. I tried it and it is excellent better than the Lobster Bisque I had been wanting. Great service also Sean was our server/Bartender he was very attentive, polite and great at his job !! Definitely recommend
I make sure to come here every time I'm in Ocean City. They have all sorts of delicious appetizers, my favorite being their rich and heavenly crab bisque. Meals come with a great olive oil focaccia bread. They a lot of excellent meals, two of my favorites being their shrimp and grits and their crab cakes. I also absolutely love their fish specials, especially the sea bass, which is cooked to perfection (on Tuesdays the fish specials are actually half off). They even have a variety of decadent deserts if you're still hungry at the end of your meal. I'd definitely recommend Hooked if you're in Ocean City.
The specials end mid May but if I lived in OC these folks would be tired of seeing me because I'd eat lunch and dinner there every day. You can't make the meals yourself for less than what they charge. We had the $1 fish tacos for lunch on Monday. They were very good. The pickled onions were a nice touch. The pico de gallo should have been drained before plating or at least scooped with a slotted spoon. By the time I got to my third taco, it had soaked the bottom of the tortilla and made it soggy. On Tuesday we had the $5.00 crabcake sandwich w/ fries and slaw. The crabcake was excellent. Not much filler, large lumps, good size, not over seasoned. Traditional Maryland style crabcake. The tartar sauce was not traditional. It was good but really overpowered the crabcake. The cole slaw was dry and bland. But, it was excellent when mixed with the tartar sauce. LOLThey also have 1/2 price apps from 3-7. We had the crab dip. It was also very good. Not much crab but very creamy, rich, and cheesy.
Excellent Crab Bisque. Actually the best I’ve had in OC during the past two weeks. Looks like it is a fun restaurant/bar during the busy season. It was slow and uncrowded when we had lunch here. The seafood and service was good. Will go back for the Crab Bisque.
Amazing place! The next time we visit Ocean City we're eating at Hooked. I ordered a salmon special because the waiter, Skylar recommended it....absolutely delicious. Skylar was fantastic; very pleasant, knowledgeable, and friendly.I highly encourage anyone who's looking for a great atmosphere with great food to visit Hooked.
Had lunch here - kale salad was wonderful and the calamari and boom boom shrimp fantastic. Service was excellent. Would recommend, going back for dinner.
Honestly, we left Embers (after it did not look edible) and are so happy we did. There is not a bad thing on the Hooked menu. Local ingredients and hand made yummy food is what they are known for. Happy Hour is an unbelievably great time to try new things. Sunday is happy hour all day. Crab bisque had a great flavor and was just thick enough, boom boom shrimp were spicy and crispy, the dry aged burger was cooked as I asked and was more than enough food for one person with the fries. My husband loved the ribs so much that he ordered another order before we left. The owner has 3 other restaurant locations in the area and want to try them all.
